Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using rostermaxx (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
These Terms form a legally binding agreement between you and Rostermaxx LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). We may update these Terms from time to time — the current version is always available at rostermaxx.com/tos.html.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use rostermaxx. The Service is designed for adults navigating dating and relationships. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement
- Your use of the Service is not prohibited by the laws of your jurisdiction
If we discover that a user is under 18, we will terminate their account immediately.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activity that occurs under your account
- Providing accurate information when registering and updating your profile
- Notifying us immediately at support@rostermaxx.app of any unauthorized use of your account
You may not share your account with others or create accounts on behalf of third parties without their knowledge. Each person is permitted one account.
4. The Service
rostermaxx is a personal relationship management platform. It lets you:
- Track dating, platonic, and committed connections with scores, notes, date logs, and milestones
- Visualize patterns and trends across your connection history
- Use AI-powered features (Pro) to generate insights, summaries, and budget-aware date and trip ideas
- Calculate astrological compatibility (synastry) between you and others
- Create and share a Rostercard — a shareable profile card with your name, placements, interests, and bio
- Enable Living Cards so others who import your card automatically receive profile updates
- Plan trips with destinations, dates, and budgets; link dates to trips for complete travel history
- Set a personal budget used as a default for AI date and trip suggestions
- Schedule dates and receive smart timing recommendations
The Service is provided "as-is." We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time with reasonable notice.
5. Subscriptions & Billing
Current pricing is displayed within the app and on the rostermaxx.com pricing page. Pro subscriptions are billed via Stripe and renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. You may cancel at any time via Settings → Plan → Manage subscription, which opens the Stripe billing portal. Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of the current paid period. New accounts may receive a free trial of Pro features at signup; trials do not automatically convert into a paid subscription unless you explicitly subscribe.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Service only for lawful, personal purposes. You must not:
- Use the Service for any commercial purpose without our written consent
- Enter information about real people in a way intended to harass, stalk, or harm them
- Share screenshots or exports of other people's private information in a way that violates their privacy
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service at scale
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent Free-tier limits
- Upload sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise prohibited imagery — all uploads pass through automated content moderation, and rejected uploads are never stored
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law
7. User Content
All content you enter into rostermaxx belongs to you. We do not claim ownership of your content. By entering content, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display it solely for operating the Service. You can export or delete all your content at any time from Settings.
8. Rostercards & Sharing
When you generate a Rostercard, it receives a unique short code. Anyone with the link or QR code can view your card. You can deactivate your card at any time to remove public access. You are solely responsible for the information you choose to share via your Rostercard.
9. Couples Mode
Users can enter Couples Mode by setting a connection's status to "couple." For linked connections, a DTR request must be sent and accepted by both parties. Either partner can exit Couples Mode at any time from Settings.
10. AI Features
Important: AI-generated insights are for personal reflection and entertainment purposes only. They are not professional advice. When you use AI features, relevant data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. AI outputs may be inaccurate or inconsistent.
11. Intellectual Property
The rostermaxx name, logo, app design, source code, and all original content we create are owned by Rostermaxx LLC and protected by intellectual property laws.
12. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
13. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ROSTERMAXX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) $50 USD.
14. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Rostermaxx LLC from claims arising from your use of the Service in violation of these Terms.
15. Termination
Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. You may delete your account from the app or by contacting support@rostermaxx.app.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming, United States.
17. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before they take effect.
